Reservations and cancellations

In the mountains, it is difficult to plan everything and to stick to it, as it depends on the weather conditions. However, it is the responsibility of the hiker/visitor to inform himself/herself and the accommodation in good time of any postponements or cancellations.

1) Reservations are made online and are only definitive once the accommodation has been confirmed. With each confirmed booking, the conditions below come into force.

2) Withdrawals, cancellations and variations in the number of participants must be notified by the visitor at least 7 days before the arrival date of the actual reservation. This also applies to groups.

3) Unannounced or late changes or cancellations, as well as no-shows without notice, are subject to compensation:

  • up to 7 days before arrival date: no charge
  • less than 7 days: 50% of the total price
  • less than 5 days: 100% of the total price
  • for early departure: 100% of the remainder of your stay

 

Legitimation required

4) Rates for mountain guides are granted only on presentation of a valid mountain guide card.

5) As the accommodation is a private guesthouse, there are no discounts for members of the various Alpine Clubs.

 

Prices and payment

6) All accommodation prices are quoted in Swiss francs (CHF), including value-added tax (VAT) where applicable.

7) We reserve the right to modify any prices.

8) The accommodation reserves the right to request a deposit and to withhold a processing fee for all cancellations.

9) The accommodation accepts payment in Swiss francs and Euros. If necessary, by bank transfer (copy of identity card/passport and address are mandatory) or by TWINT. A surcharge of  CHF 5.- to 10.- (depending on the amount) will be deducted from all payments to foreign accounts to cover bank charges.

 

Exclusion of liability

10) All written or verbal information (e.g. trip conditions, route information, weather conditions, etc.) is provided by the accommodation provider with the utmost care. However, those in charge of the accommodation cannot guarantee this information. All decisions concerning the trip, the itinerary, etc… are the responsibility of the hiker/visitor. Any liability on the part of the accommodation managers for damages of any kind that may result from the use of this information and advice by the customer is excluded. 

Any dietary requirements must be announced at the time of booking and arrival at the accommodatin, otherwise the hiker(s) will be held resonsible.
